AP News Fails to Debunk Bill Gates’ words: “there will be some risk and indemnification needed”

Back in July this year, Associated Press News published an attempted ‘debunking’ or ‘fact checking’ article related to a Bill Gates interview that had recently gone viral.

The billionaire and outspoken depopulation advocate, Bill Gates, had spoken in a CNBC interview about the coming covid vaccine. When talking about the potential risks of dangerous side effects he said:

“Here, we clearly need a vaccine that works in the upper age range because they’re most at risk of that,” Gates said. “And doing that so that you amp it up so it works in older people and yet you don’t have side effects … you know, if we have 1 in 10,000 side effects, that’s way more, 700,000 people who will suffer from that. So, really understanding the safety at gigantic scale across all age ranges — you know, pregnant, male, female, undernourished, existing comorbidities — it’s very, very hard. And that actual decision of, OK, let’s go and give this vaccine to the entire world — governments will have to be involved because there will be some risk and indemnification needed before that can be decided on.”

AP News dismissed this entire statement as being “hypothetical”. They also used a favourite method of self appointed ‘fact checkers’ which is to debunk a statement that they themselves created. This is known as ‘building a strawman’. They publish a statement that Bill Gates had not said and then profess to have ‘debunked it’. AP News wrote the imaginary statement that ‘the covid vaccine would kill 700,000 people’ – which no one had actually said, including Bill Gates, and then wrote that the statement was not true. Well at least they are honest sometimes.

However they completely failed to comment on what he actually said. So we decided to do that here and….

Fact Check the ‘fact checkers’!

If we take apart Mr Gates’ statement line by line, we can find exactly what he said and exactly what he meant. So let’s do that.

Bill Gate’s words we will show in quotation marks “” and our paraphrasing and analysis will be underneath in brackets [] :

“we clearly need a vaccine that works in the upper age range”
[Here Bill is saying that he think ‘we’ need a vaccine that works for older people]

“you amp it up so it works in older people and yet you don’t have side effects”
[Bill is saying that they must be careful when they make more powerful doses so it doesn’t cause side effects. Here he is acknowledging that the covid vaccine could cause side effects]

“if we have 1 in 10,000 side effects, that’s way more, 700,000 people who will suffer from that”
[Here Bill is hypothesizing that if there was a 1 in 10,000 chance of a side effect that that would cause 700,000 people in the world to suffer. It does appear that he just came up with this number on the spot. It’s impossible to know why he chose that number.]

“understanding the safety at gigantic scale across all age ranges — you know, pregnant, male, female, undernourished, existing comorbidities — it’s very, very hard”
[Here Bill admits that it is very hard to understand the safety of a new vaccine. Many of the categories he mentions: pregnant, undernourished, comorbidities for example have NOT been studied in any detail in any trial so far of any covid vaccine. Yet governments are promoting it as being safe. This is very strange. Matt Hancock recently said on Good Morning Britain that they do no know if it is safe for pregnant women.]

“governments will have to be involved because there will be some risk and indemnification needed”
[Here Bill really gives the game away. He admits that governments will have to grant the vaccine companies indemnification – i.e. allow them to injure people without penalty. Because he says – there will be risks.

It does not take a genius to understand this statement.

AP News said that their article “….is part of The Associated Press’ ongoing effort to fact-check misinformation that is shared widely online” and then went on to quote a general statement from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation saying “Strong scientific evidence shows that vaccines are safe”.

Our verdict: This was a complete FAIL to debunk or ‘fact check’ anything.

Clearly Bill Gates said that he expects the covid vaccine to cause side effects and that vaccine companies will need indemnity.

The UK Government recently granted Pfizer total indemnity from any side effects from their experimental new technology mRNA injection.

No one from the Pfizer company has come forth to explain why they need such protection from legal action against them
